In celebration of Juneteenth, the day commemorating the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans, Podlasie presents SUGARWATER– three nights featuring remarkable Black talent and sounds from Chicago and across the country, coming together to dive deeply into the power of relief, release, remembering & reckoning. This kind of celebration — memorial and renewal, fathoming and letting go — should never last one night only.
