Description
Lesley Mok announces their debut solo album *transient*, out July 17 via American Dreams. Over the last few years, Mok has become one of New York City's most in-demand percussionists, yet their solo debut distills several years of exploring sound-making beyond the physical drum kit. Sculpted from a combination of digital electronics, live improvisation, and studio manipulation, Mok describes the music as a passage through affective zones, exploring rhythm, timbre, texture, weight, pulse, and the ways that the confluence of these elements can help unfurl and sonify our emotional landscapes.
