*Short Waves Prensents:*
**\-GIFTHORSE**
GIFTHORSE gallop in from North London town, with their self-proclaimed 'frazzled English Pop', fizzing with anthemic guitars, colourful synths and Naomi Mann's perkily bubblesome vocals.
**\-Ruby Doomsday**
Ruby Doomsday are the nostalgic house band from The Last Chance Saloon. They play apocalyptic rocknroll inspired by classic horror movies and the horrors of reality. For fans of - Zombie Elvis.
**\-What Jen Wants**
What Jen Wants are a much talked about new band who land at the intersection between college rock and ethereal. Since playing their first show late last year, they have shared stages across London with the likes of The Orchestra (For Now), Little Grandad and Night Swimming. They’re currently in the studio working on their debut EP, with their first single slated to come out this Autumn. For fans of Been Stellar, feeble little horse, Pretty Sick, Wednesday.
**\-Dates For An Honest Mind**
Having their live debut on June 28th, Dates For An Honest Mind are the new mystical indie darlings of the London music scene. Created by South London songwriter Courtney McMahon (Ruby Doomsday, Rats-Tails, We Lost Alice), the project has expanded from a solo vision into an all-female/NB seven-piece band featuring 12-string guitar, harmonies, violin, cello, and synth. Dates For An Honest Mind embraces a deeper vulnerability, luring audiences with ethereal tones and catchy melodies, contrasted with brutally honest lyricism and occasional fuzz.
**\-Daxi**
From the German forests, Daxi emerges with a blend of grunge, psychedelic folk and fairytales. Inspired by her European heritage and the folklore around it, the London-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentatlist writes music made for movies about growing up, getting lost and finding back to where you came from. Her music feels like a ritual, an exploration of the inner and outer world, where emotion and spirit intertwine. Steeped in symbolism, her artistry reaches beyond sound, unfolding into visual forms such as her hand-painted website and the carefully selected imagery that creates her own cosmos. She follows in the footsteps of artists like Tori Amos, Florence + the Machine and Wolf Alice, drawing inspiration from a background of rock, classical music, jazz and her capabilities as a multi-instrumentalist willing to re-negotiate her sound with every song.
**\-Milkstone**
Milkstone is a new project by American composer, Cosette Gobat, with songs on the themes of decolonisation, community, and ancient, somatic practices. With transcendental guitar noises and expansive, powerful vocals, Milkstone blends genres of shoegaze, psychedelia, and neo-classical. Recently releasing their debut single, 'All Alone Again' on bandcamp, the band is currently located in London recording their upcoming EP.
Presented by Short Waves.
