Detroit Heads… get ready and save the date.
For the first time ever, the iconic dancefloor at TV Lounge welcomes internationally celebrated Japanese DJ and producer Masaki Morii for his Detroit debut—and this will be something special.
A master of deep, Afro, and soulful house, Masaki’s sound has been lighting up dancefloors across the globe for over two decades. His music is championed weekly by legends like Louie Vega, Ron Trent, David Morales, and Manoo. From Tokyo to New York, South Africa to Paris, Masaki has built a reputation for sets that are soulful, hypnotic, and deeply rooted in the culture of house music. His releases have climbed the charts on Traxsource—including Afro house chart-toppers and collaborations with Baltimore legend DJ Oji—earning him recognition as one of the most exciting global artists in the scene today. Detroit now gets its turn to experience that energy live. Expect rhythm, soul, and a dancefloor journey that travels far beyond borders.
Holding down the home team is a serious lineup of Detroit selectors who know exactly how to move a room. Veteran tastemaker Chuck Flask brings decades of underground credibility and a style that flows effortlessly between Detroit techno minimalism and house groove. Detroit royalty Bruce Bailey—known to many as The Key Ingredient—steps in with the kind of musical authority that comes from shaping the city’s dance culture since the early vinyl days. Joining them is DJ Moppy, whose percussion-driven, jazz-influenced house sets deliver deep, organic rhythms built for serious dancers. And representing the purist side of the craft, Detroit’s own Donna Gardner keeps it strictly wax—all vinyl, all the time—bringing raw, authentic energy to the booth.
Together, this lineup bridges continents and generations of house music, creating a night where global sounds meet Detroit’s unmistakable dancefloor spirit.
At TV Lounge, we remain committed to bringing bold international talent together with the DJs who built this city’s legendary sound.
