Description
This is a rare kind of Detroit night — the kind where the lineup is so deep that putting names in any particular order feels almost disrespectful. So for the third edition of More Than You Can Bear, we’re doing the only fair thing: alphabetical order. Because everyone listed here is a headliner at TV Lounge.
This party is built exactly the way Detroit likes it — generations of selectors, international travelers, house purists, techno futurists, and dance-floor specialists all sharing one booth. Come support old favorites and discover new vibrations. It’s a reminder that the real spirit of Detroit is never hype… it’s the craft of the DJ.
Start your festival weekend at the iconic TV Lounge. Friday. May 22. Doors open 8 PM and we are going late, late…
Bruce Bailey
Known across the city as “The Key Ingredient,” Bruce Bailey is one of the figures who has quietly kept Detroit’s House tradition and underground dancer culture moving for decades. From the vinyl trenches of the early 80s to residencies at clubs that defined eras, Bailey represents the backbone of Detroit house culture. He’s shared stages with Detroit legends like Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Delano Smith and Chicago icons while continuing to headline rooms around the world. When Bruce plays TV Lounge, the room locks into a groove that feels like pure Detroit history unfolding in real time.
Chuck Daniels
Few artists bridge the worlds of house and techno with the authority of Chuck Daniels. A Detroit native whose musical foundation stretches from soul and jazz to the mechanical pulse of techno, Daniels built his reputation through relentless production work and the launch of his influential label Sampled Detroit. Whether appearing at Movement Electronic Music Festival or intimate underground rooms, Chuck’s sets are a masterclass in groove, rhythm, and Detroit musical lineage.
Coflo
Cody 'Coflo' Ferreira represents the deep musicality of the modern house movement. A dancer, musician, and producer raised in the Bay Area, Coflo’s sound blends soulful house, Afro-influenced rhythms, and musical storytelling rooted in global traditions. As founder of Catch The Ghost Records and a member of the Soulshifters collective, his sets carry the spirit of house culture in its most joyful form — rhythm, movement, and connection on the floor.
David Harness
From the San Francisco underground to dance floors around the globe, David Harness has spent decades channeling the emotional power of deep house and classic garage. Influenced by soul giants like Stevie Wonder and Barry White, Harness brings warmth and musicality to every performance. His residencies in San Francisco and productions for artists including Mary J. Blige and Aretha Franklin cement his place as one of house music’s most respected craftsmen.
Homero Espinosa
Few DJs represent the West Coast house sound like Homero Espinosa. Emerging from the renegade rave culture of San Francisco in the late 90s, Espinosa developed a style rooted in jazz, hip-hop, and soulful house rhythms. With collaborations alongside artists like Mark Farina and DJ Heather, his sets balance timeless groove with modern dance floor energy.
Mister Joshooa
Describing Mister Joshooa is part mythology, part sonic experiment. A self-described “cybersonic superbeast,” Joshooa’s sets operate in the outer edges of the dance floor — blending future electronics, off-grid grooves, and wild selections that feel like they’re transmitted from another dimension of Detroit’s underground.
Norm Talley
A true Detroit original, Norm Talley began his journey collecting records as a teenager on the city’s west side. Mentored by disco pioneer Ken Collier, Talley built his craft from backyard parties to global dance floors. His sets remain a perfect example of Detroit house culture — soulful, hypnotic, and driven by deep knowledge of the music.
Rachael Parker
Detroit’s dance floors have always been powered by DJs who know how to read a room, and as a founding member of the Detroit House Collective Rachael Parker is exactly that kind of selector. Blending house, soulful rhythms, and classic club energy, her sets carry the warmth and musical depth that Detroit crowds love — the kind of vibe that builds steadily until the entire room is locked together in rhythm
Recloose
Producer, DJ, and musical explorer Recloose first caught the attention of techno legend Carl Craig with the now-legendary “demo on a rye sandwich,” leading to releases on Craig’s Planet E Communications. Blending jazz training with electronic experimentation, Recloose has spent decades crafting soulful, genre-bending music that connects Detroit’s roots to the wider world.
Rick Wade
For house purists, Rick Wade is nothing short of legendary. The founder of Harmonie Park, Wade has quietly built one of the deepest catalogs in house music. His productions are stripped down, hypnotic, and endlessly groovy — the kind of tracks DJs rely on when the dance floor is fully locked in.
Ryan Sadorus
Producer, DJ, and label head Ryan Sadorus brings a global perspective shaped by years of travel and military service. Through his label BerettaMusic, Sadorus delivers everything from deep driving house to disco-tinged dance floor burners, while continuing to build a strong presence in Detroit’s underground.
Sherif
Detroit techno energy runs deep in the work of Sherif. Known for powerful low end and immersive soundscapes, Sherif’s sets channel the spirit of the city’s techno tradition while pushing forward with modern production techniques. Whether performing across North America or at home in Detroit, his connection with the crowd is immediate and magnetic.
Sillygirlcarmen
Carmen Johnson represents the next generation of Detroit selectors carrying the culture forward. A DJ, producer, and vocalist, she’s already played alongside artists like Louie Vega and Moodymann while releasing music on labels including Nervous Records and her own Sun & Sound Detroit. Her tracks have been remixed by industry favorites Karizmsa, Glenn Underground, DJ Minx, Soul Clap, Emmaculate and more. Her Hear Here party series is electric and her DJ sets are passionate and unpredictable — driven by instinct, crowd energy, and a deep respect for the history of the music.
Theresa Hill
A respected Detroit selector, radio host and promoter, Theresa Hill aka Lady T aka Thill Detroit Radio brings a refined ear and a dancer’s understanding of groove to every set. Rooted in the city’s deep house tradition, her selections move effortlessly between soulful rhythms, hypnotic percussion, and late-night energy designed to keep the floor in motion. When Theresa is behind the decks, the focus stays exactly where it belongs — on the music and the movement of the room.
Detroit has always been about the DJ — the craft, the tracks, the connection between the booth and the dance floor. Nights like this remind you why the Detroit electronic music culture still resonates around the world.
