Description
Since the 1980s, Gilles Peterson has remained a pivotal figure in the global club scene, renowned for his genre-defying approach to music with jazz at its core. He has spent over 40 years shaping music trends as a radio presenter, club DJ, producer, and festival curator — work which has influenced DJs and artists around the world.
He hosts a flagship weekend program on BBC Radio 6 Music and, in 2016, launched his online radio platform Worldwide FM. He is the founder of both Worldwide Festival in the South of France and We Out Here festival in the UK. Through his label Brownswood Recordings, Peterson remains dedicated to discovering and promoting new talent, bringing fresh voices to the global stage.
