Wednesday Night Special is a comedy extravaganza where nationally touring comics come to the Mississippi Studio stage for one night only. Our headliners have been on Comedy Central, Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, all the late-night shows, and some of the most famous stages in the country. Wednesday Night is now truly special. Susan Rice: For over 43 years, Susan Rice has had the joy and privilege of making people laugh. Coming from an acting background, Susan found her voice and honed her craft on the national comedy stages of the 1980s and 90s. Rice returned to the PNW in 1998, performing for corporate functions as well as fundraisers. During the 2021 /22 lock down Susan produced the St. John's Comedy Festival. At the ripe old age of 72, Susan filmed a 10-minute spot for the YouTube channel Don't Tell Comedy, and her life changed. She then entered the realm of viral recognition. In the next year and a half, she shot 2 comedy specials, " Silver Alert!" on Amazon and Apple TV, and  " We All Become Our Parents," for the Don't Tell YouTube channel. The road life is challenging, but the laughter and the kindness of her audience make it all worthwhile. Susan believes laughter is a glue that can bring us together.
