Description
**ECHO Presents The Songs of John Prine live at Eddie's Attic!**
ECHO presents The Songs of John Prine is a heartfelt tribute to one of America’s greatest songwriters, rooted in storytelling, honesty, and songs that linger long after the lights come up. For many, this show will feel familiar and that is because it is.
If you have seen us before as Illegal Smile – The Songs of John Prine, then you already know what this is about. The spirit, the songs, and the heart of that show are still very much alive. What has changed is the name and the road forward.
We have rebranded under the name ECHO, a banner that brings everything we do into one place. It allows us to grow, to expand, and to give these songs an even wider space to breathe, while still holding tight to what made them special in the first place. This is not a departure. It is a continuation.
Led by Greg Shaddix on vocals and acoustic guitar, the lineup is rounded out by Jerbo Foti on stand up bass and Roger Brainard on lead electric guitar, each adding their own voice to the music while honoring the spirit of the songs. The performance moves between quiet, stripped-down moments and more expansive arrangements. Some nights feel like you are sitting in a room hearing these songs for the first time. Other moments open up and stretch, letting the music wander a bit, finding something new along the way.
The heart of John Prine’s writing lives in the details. The humor, the truth, the simple lines that somehow say everything. That is what this show is built on, and that is what remains unchanged.
So yes, you may have seen us before. You may recognize the songs, the voices, even the feeling in the room. But this is the next chapter.
ECHO presents The Songs of John Prine is not just a tribute. It is the same soul you remember, now with a new name and a wider horizon.
Presented by Eddie's Attic.
This is an all ages event.
