She harnesses the volatile chaos of high-BPM loop techno, teasing out the innate grooviness in the melee. Mike Servito returns to STUDIO to do what only he can. A master of all things jacking and acidic, Servito has become a leading light for countless artists following in his wake. Who else simultaneously embodies the best of Detroit and Chicago’s heyday while remaining in stride with the moment? Servito accomplishes this by letting the music speak for itself above all else. Smartbar affiliate Jaq Attaque makes his debut. A Chicago legend, his credentials include over three decades behind the decks. He imbues everything he does with a staunch, Midwest rave spirit. Haruka adds a twist to the night. The NY artist has a track called “Wavyyy,” which could double as a mission statement. Haruka’s wonky, endlessly refreshing take on deep house synthesizes decades of musical history into something that feels completely current and perfectly strange.
