We’re back to USB DJs after a couple of vinyl open decks returning to one of our favorite spots, Mood Ring! With the weather warming up, we’re excited to gather for an extended session from 6pm - 2am, with @heathcliff joining us as co-host. We’ll also be joined by NYC Ice Watch, who will be offering signups for rapid response training, whistle kits, ICE identification zines, safety network planning, know your rights information, and fundraising for families impacted by ICE. We’ll be donating half of the event’s proceeds towards their efforts. Come with your crew, a friend, a date—or come solo and meet some people. All levels are welcome! Just bring a USB, a pair of headphones, and whatever sounds you've been playing with lately, and connect with fellow local selectors and music lovers. HOW IT WORKS ~ Sign up with DJ girlcrush upon arrival ~ 6pm - 8pm: 30 min vinyl sets TBA ~ 8pm - 2am: raffle, 20 min slots, 2x tickets for FLINTA* DJs ~ raffle is generally drawn at the top of every hour for the next hour (ex. At 7pm for 8:00, 8:20 & 8:40) EQUIPMENT Bring your own USB & headphones. Mood Ring has a Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 mixer, 2 Pioneer 2000NXS2, 1 Pioneer XDJ-1000MK2 PHOTOS AND RECORDING We are trying out different recording methods all the time and allowing photographers, videographers, and content creators practice as a part of this space.
