Doka Summer Studio invites Disco Exota. You may know them for the legendary parties in Rotterdam and Amsterdam they curated together with Tako Reyenga. Disco Exota is known for an unpolished, addictive blend of disco, funk, wave, new beat and acid. They invited dj’s like Daniele Baldelli, Beppe Loda, Daniel Wang, Mark Seven, Metro Area and Traxx. Disco Exota also hosted a monthly radioshow on Redlightradio for 8 years. For 2 decades they are linked to IntergalacticFM and Cybernetic Broadcasting System. Last month Disco Exota celebrated it’s 21th year of existence with an event on the beach together with Tornado Wallace and Orpheu the Wizard. After the previous very cosy, sold out cooperation with Kennedy in the Kelder in Haarlem, Funknoir & G-String invite him once again for this special Doka Summer Studio edition. This one is not to be missed! Kennedy Kennedy is part of the Music From Memory & Red Light Records familiy. He is specialised in (but not limited) to house and disco, Kennedy stays true to the sound of the past while remaining open to the future and always timeless. He’s been submerged in records and dancing for over two decades now having first learnt from the classic US school which inspired him to tell musical stories that call on both the body and soul. Preferring extended over transient, his thoughtfully selected DJ sets are as balanced as they are dynamic, and come with little hassle and lots of love. G-String G-String is a Disco Exota resident since 2005. He has a true passion for raw unrefined electronic music. He is a member of Amsterdam’s collective R-A-G (known for their releases on the mighty M>O>S label), and half of the outer space techno duo Crystal Maze. He also did solo releases on the Echovolt and Pinkman label. As a true veteran in the scene G-String is since 2001 a regular supplier for hotmixes on I-F's famous IntergalacticFM. Funknoir Funknoir are the originators of the Disco Exota parties in clubs in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Haarlem since 2005. These guys provided mixes for the Cybernetic Broadcasting System, the early days of IntergalacticFM. Expect a unique blend of old and new. From leftfield discoid stuff to darker wave and raw chicago. Hot dancefloor stuff!
