Description
Family Man is a Montreal-based alt-punk band known for high-energy performances and unfiltered sound. Blending the raw intensity of punk with anthemic power-pop hooks, the band has built a reputation for chaos that somehow always lands on its feet. Their live shows, described as “watching a never-ending car crash that blissfully lands on its wheels every time,” have captivated audiences across North America, the UK, and Europe.
Comprised of five members from LGBTQ+, Indigenous, Jewish, and Filipino backgrounds, Family Man is driven to break sonic and social barriers, creating safe spaces within punk while pushing inclusion and diversity in every medium.
Their 2024 debut album, ICONOCLAST, established them as a breakout act in the heavier music scene, amassing 150,000+ streams and 500+ vinyl sales. The record tackled sexuality, religion, trauma, and death with a tongue-in-cheek intensity that set them apart. Their upcoming EP, So It Goes (Division 11/Sounds of Subterrania), pushes further, digging into the death of youth, grief, and finding peace in discomfort.
Looking ahead, Family Man will release a full-length album in April 2026, expanding on So It Goes with even bolder explorations of generational cycles, identity, and collapse. Bigger in scope and sound, it cements their place as one of punk’s most fearless and uncompromising new voices.
