Description
Madam X is a London-based DJ, broadcaster, and curator, known for her command of the UK bass continuum, moving between dubstep, grime, techno, and percussive club music. A key figure in underground club culture, she runs the Kaizen label and hosts on NTS Radio, championing forward-thinking sounds with a strong focus on low-end and system dynamics.
Joining her are Star Eyes, an LA-based DJ, producer, and frequent collaborator bridging UK bass, breaks, and techno across NYC and West Coast scenes, and Edica+, whose sets move through dub, bass, and experimental electronics with a sound system sensibility rooted in NYC.
About Echo Chamber:
Echo Chamber returns in 2026 as a reboot of Dub-Stuy’s long-running series, first launched in 2012, now reimagined as an ongoing residency at Public Records. Hosted on select Thursdays in Public Records’ sound room, the series centers sound, system, and the dancefloor as spaces for open listening and exploration.
Rooted in sound system culture, Echo Chamber traces a wide musical arc from Jamaica to the UK and New York. Programming moves fluidly from foundation reggae and dub into dub techno, dubstep, drum and bass, and global bass, connecting lineage with future-facing sounds.
Powered by Public Records’ bass-forward quadriphonic system, each session features Dub-Stuy resident DJs alongside special guests from the global sound system community.
