ASHAWO is a Chicago-based party series centering queer African nightlife, sound, and movement. Inspired by the rebellious queer underground scenes of Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, and beyond, ASHAWO blends Afrohouse/tech, Afrobeats, and Alté to create an unapologetic space for Black queer Chicagoans.
