Ginger Molasses - Red Room "Local Series"Ginger Molasses is a five-piece rock band formed in 2023 in the Sierra Nevada Foothills town of Nevada City, California. Their unique blend of soul, funk, and rock, is a result of a strong chemistry and friendship born during the pandemic, when they bonded over homemade ginger molasses cookies and their shared love of Bob Seger. Ginger Molasses’ songwriting celebrates overlooked American subcultures, and fans are transported to other worlds. Reminiscent of groups like Lake Street Dive, Grace Potter, and Greta Van Fleet, Ginger Molasses also draws inspiration from 60s and 70s rock-soul artists like Little Feat, Linda Ronstadt, and Joe Cocker. Their music gets audiences up and moving. The driving force of the band is front-woman Tawnee Kendall, whose Nashville-tinged vocals and energetic stage presence makes for a memorable live show. Behind her is a roster of solid musicians: Lessley Anderson playing funky Wurlitzer and B3 keyboard sounds, Galen Krumel delivering melodic hooks on bass, Bodhi DuLac shredding on guitar, and Nick Overhauser driving the rhythm on drums. *Standing Room Only
