Description
Cigarettes for Breakfast: Cigarettes for Breakfast is a Philadelphia-based band known for their lush soundscapes and raw, emotive, fuzzed-out performances, capturing the essence of shoegaze and dream pop greats, such as My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. The bedroom project of Matt Whiteford, along with various members and collaborators, has taken the hearts of listeners, making waves out of the DIY music scene and onto the stage with renowned acts like Alison's Halo, Slow Crush, and Blackwater Holylight, among others.
Capitol: Composed of brothers and lifelong best friends; Josh Kemp, Robert J. Kemp, Wes Lintott, Matt Lintott & Chris McLaughlin and bearing a mix of the industrial, electric hum of their hometown with synths of 80's new wave, reverb-drenched guitars reminiscent of 90's shoegaze, and the songwriting styles of 2000's indie rock, Capitol's sound weaves in and out of genre and decade, producing "an experience rich with texture and emotion" (hamiltoncitymagazine.ca).
AloneKitty: AloneKitty is the sonic project of Toronto-based artist Michelle K, delivering immersive, distortion-heavy shoegaze that channels emotional chaos into shimmering walls of sound. Rooted in the legacy of bands like My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, Slowdive, and HUM, AloneKitty merges noise and melody in a way that feels both vulnerable and overwhelming — like heartbreak carved into feedback.
