Description
Tweeman returns from Kyiv to BASEMENT. He is the founder of Veselka, widely credited as his hometown’s first queer rave, and Tweeman extends that visionary energy and sense of possibility into his sets. A canny selector and deft performer, Tweeman mixes acidic techno, pumping grooves and moments of rugged confrontation into a vital potion. He’s joined by NY’s DAIYAH. An artist who has staunchly positioned herself at the bleeding edge of modern techno, DAIYAH sets her sights on thundering, in-the-red catharsis and holds nothing back. Freely roaming into higher technos and hardcore distortion, DAIYAH rides waves of pure energy with fearless abandon. Residents Word of Command and DJ Clone hold the line in BASEMENT, working the room for all it’s worth. Across their near-decade running FIST, the duo has honed a vision that is all their own: pungent, brutal but also fluid, playful and always subversive.
Ritmo Fatale founder Kendal returns for a special b2b with Synthicide’s Andi. It’s a match made in heaven. Are there two people more obsessed with glistening ‘80s synths, dark EBM and shimmering italo? Kendal has been described as a “virtuoso of neo italo-disco,” and you can hear it in his signature track, also titled “Ritmo Fatale.” It’s an anthem for a lost age, suffused with romance and dark glamor. Andi is a veritable kindred spirit. Her Synthicide nights are an essential hub for creatures of the night. This b2b has already yielded inspiring results; do not say we didn’t warn you. Visceral’s Manu Miran has made a significant mark on STUDIO, consistently pushing the room to the breaking point. Miran gets straight to the point, hitting a note of pure, lurid potency and, indeed, visceral intensity. Sabrout returns. One of NY’s most exploratory DJs, Sabrout’s sets weave a heady tapestry of leftfield dance music, deep electronic textures and modern sounds of the SWANA diaspora.
