The OG Family Rave is going to the JUNGLE and we are packing the BASS. If you love Drum 'n' Bass music, this is a family event you do NOT want to miss! MUSIC Live DJs play electronic music at safe sound levels. The tracks are family friendly, but not kid-centric. This event will have DJs spinning JUNGLE and DRUM and BASS. If DnB is new to you, think elements of reggae, dub, and breakbeats with a smattering of elements from any other genre, including jazz, soul, R&B, or acid house. If Jungle music is new to you, think fast breakbeats, deep basslines, and reggae-dub influences with its signature chopped-up drum patterns. BOTH these genres came out of 90s UK rave culture. The rythm is a little faster than typical club music, but we are certain the kids are going to LOVE it! (A decade of BFLF events in the UK can prove it ;-) VENUE ALTAR is a beautiful venue in Long Beach that makes its own beer and coffee - BOTH will be on tap at this event! This is a LIGHT VENUE meaning there are windows and sky lights letting in sunlight. There are multiple rooms at ALTAR allowing you and your little to explore on sidequets to discover the crafts, the chill area and of course the dance floor. A max of 3 children per adult in a family. Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred/sold on by ticket holder. The event will be busy with hundreds of people attending. The dancefloor is for adults and children to dance together. Please be aware that events are standing/dancing with limited seating and events are busy with around 500 people at each party - which helps create the rave ambience. Each event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance. A licensed bar will be open during the event but no glass is permitted. We may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering you are giving your permission for these to be used for BFLF promotion purposes. Please be aware that BFLF is designed to provide a family friendly, authentic club experience and is not a traditional children's party or disco. There is no kids music, nor games, nor DJ shout outs. The effect is to give families unity on the dancefloor - dancing together. DJ lineups may be subject to unavoidable change. Music is played at safe levels for everyone. BFLF sets and monitors the volume using World Health Organization guidelines - so that is it at a safe level for everyone, even the youngest babies, over the duration of the event. Though quieter than at adult events, it is still loud enough to feel like you are at a club. Most parents do not use ear defenders on their children but if yours are particularly sensitive to noise or if you want them to nap then you might want to consider it.
