Soda Blonde are a four-piece alt-pop band from Dublin, Ireland, formed in 2019 by Faye O’Rourke (vocals), Adam O’Regan (guitar/keys), Donagh Seaver-O’Leary (bass) and Dylan Lynch (drums). The group emerged from the ashes of critically acclaimed indie rock outfit Little Green Cars, moving toward a bolder, more cinematic and emotionally charged sound that blends evocative lyrics with adventurous production.
Their music traverses the tension between introspection and ambition, pairing O’Rourke’s distinctive, expressive vocals with genre-defying arrangements that draw comparisons to synth-infused art-pop and emotionally honest songwriting. Soda Blonde’s debut single “Swimming Through the Night” immediately marked a stylistic shift for the members, establishing the band’s commitment to cinematic hooks and atmospheric grooves.
The band’s first studio album Small Talk (2021) showcased polished, self-produced songwriting and was nominated for the Choice Music Prize. Their sophomore record Dream Big (2023) expanded their sonic palette and solidified their reputation as one of Ireland’s most compelling contemporary acts. In 2025, Soda Blonde released the People Pleaser EP and completed an ambitious live orchestral project with the National Symphony Orchestra at Dublin’s National Concert Hall, captured in both a concert film and a live album.
Known for their emotionally charged live performances, bold visuals and genre-spanning sound, Soda Blonde continue to push beyond conventional pop boundaries while maintaining a deeply personal connection to their lyrics and visual storytelling.
