ALL THEM WITCHES
DANNY CAREY TRIO
TERRY GROSS
ROYAL THUNDER
BLACK MARE
All Them Witches - Versatile hard rock quartet, All Them Witches, thrive on contrast. Now six records deep into a tenure that began in 2012, Ben McLeod (guitarist,) Charles Michael Parks, Jr. (bass/vocals,) Christian Powers (drums,) and Allan Van Cleave (keys) are unremittingly forward-looking. There is a ferocious energy and rhythmic nuance to the band that delivers devastating guitar riffs in a raw blend of progressive, bluesy, neo-psychedelic rock.
The band has relentlessly toured since inception, performing at festivals including Voodoo Music & Arts, Bonnaroo, Forecastle Festival, and Pukkelpop; while also sharing tours with acts such as Mastodon, Ghost, and Primus.
All Them Witches hone their unique meld of crafted songwriting and spacious grooves on the road. They have deep musical roots and grow a heavy, visceral sound, with sheer dexterity delivered in every song.
Danny Carey Trio - With the caliber of musicianship on display, THE DANNY CAREY TRIO evokes the electrifying impromptu performances given at the storied Baked Potato jazz club in L.A., where songs are utilized as launching pads for jams by some of the most gifted players in the genre. Over the years, not only have audiences when wowed by the eclectic licks and beats, but the players, themselves, inspired by each others virtuosity and inventiveness, have strived to push the envelope, taking the mastery of the craft to the next level. The result is a sonic tapestry woven before ones eyes - a musical experience that is difficult to recapture and, thus, not to be missed.
Terry Gross - Few bands are as primed to capture their ecstatic live energy in masterful sonic detail like Terry Gross. Composed of three renowned engineer/producers whose studio doubles as their jam spot and communal gathering place, the trio are able to document their longform psychedelic escapades with granular precision. The potency of the fellowship formed by drummer Phil Becker, bassist Donny Newenhouse, and guitarist Phil Manley (Trans Am) lies in their ability to utilize their prowess as both players and recording engineers to translate feeling with immaculate clarity. On their second full-length Huge Improvement, Terry Gross embody a complex web of emotion with songs as ferocious and precise as they are agile and care-free, delighting in the catharsis of excising tension alongside one’s most trusted peers.
