Origami Summer Origami Summer was formed in the Rocky Mountains, January 2023 with members coming from the local Midwest music scenes of Shoegaze, Midwest Emo, and Death-core/Hardcore. The years of experience they bring have culminated to form this project filled with raw emotion. Influenced by many artists from all genres, every member of this band individually brings something different and special to the table to ensure that our music is as creative and original as possible. Our music is a perpetual identity crisis in the best way possible. Our songs vary a lot in style, but mesh together for a concoction of nostalgia. If your in your late 20’s or 30’s, you’ll appreciate our nod to the early 2000’s. If your younger, you’ll appreciate our upbeat flavor. Created by Kellner Schoenke at their Longmont restaurant, The Black Buzzard drink fused bacon-infused bourbon and ten fidy imperial stout. Chef and Oskar Blues fooderies partner, Jason Rogers, shared a sip with Kellner, and they realized they had both frequented the same closed blues bar on 16th and Market Street, Brendan's. Years later, Brendan's became available, and it seemed like the perfect time to put some music back into the heart of LoDo. They named the venue after the drink that started it all. Today, located blocks away from Coors Field and Union Station, The Black Buzzard at Oskar Blues Denver hosts buzz-worthy musicians of all genres from Denver and beyond.
