Description
For several years now, ADE Saturday with Sasha b2b Patrice Bäumel has become more than a date in the ADE calendar, it has grown into a reference point for what quality electronic music should feel like when it is given the space, the sound system and the attention it deserves.
In an era where speed often replaces substance, this collaboration has remained consistent, intentional and deeply rooted in musical integrity. Each edition has sold out not because of trend cycles or short-lived hype, but because the experience has proven itself year after year.
Sasha’s contribution to electronic music cannot be overstated. Emerging from the UK scene in the late 80s and becoming a defining force in the progressive movement of the 90s, he helped shape the idea of the extended set as a narrative form, where tension, release and atmosphere are constructed patiently over hours rather than minutes. His approach has always prioritised storytelling, emotional architecture and technical precision over instant gratification.
Patrice Bäumel, with his background rooted in Amsterdam’s underground and years of shaping dance floors across Europe, represents a different but equally essential lineage. His sets are known for their restraint, depth and hypnotic focus; long blends, subtle shifts in energy, and a sensitivity to the room that turns a DJ set into a shared psychological journey. His residency years at Trouw and his global touring career have built a reputation based not on volume, but on control and musical intelligence.
When these two artists meet, it is not a standard back-to-back. It is a dialogue between generations and philosophies within electronic music. Progressive heritage meeting modern minimal tension, British narrative craft meeting Amsterdam’s refined underground aesthetic. The result is something that can only be understood inside the room.
We return this ADE Saturday to the same venue, the same day, the same ritual, not to repeat the past, but to continue a story that has become part of our ADE identity.
Each edition has sold out. Each edition has justified why.
