Description
Step into a world where education meets libation! At Tipsy Teachings, we've taken the stuffiness out of learning and replaced it with comfortable bar stools and cold drinks. Our expert speakers serve up bite-sized knowledge bombs while you enjoy your favorite beverage. It's like a college lecture escaped the classroom and found its true calling at your local bar. Come for the fascinating insights, stay for the perfectly paired potables and engaging discussions. Inspired by the Lectures on Tap series in NYC.
Our speaker for February will be Tony Caldwell with his lecture titled "Shadow Work: Jungian Psychology for Our Time."
Tony Caldwell is a Jungian Analyst, Writer, and Activist based in Nashville. He is a former lecturer at the University of Mississippi and a PhD Researcher at GCAS in Dublin, Ireland. His work has been supported by grants from Levi Strauss & Co., Toyota Motor Corporation, the Kellogg Foundation, and the Human Rights Campaign. He has partnered with the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center, and his therapeutic work with children affected by ICE raids was featured on CNN. Additionally, Tony is a teaching and training analyst, co-leads Jung & Yoga retreats, and teaches at The Haden Institute and Victor Wooten’s Nature and Music Camps. Originally from North Mississippi, Tony plays bass with the sons and grandsons of Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside.
