About Josh Baker Hailing from Manchester, England, Josh Baker has established himself as a DJ, producer, label owner, and educator with deep roots in the UK’s underground house scene. His interest in dance music began at 17, developing into a production style that draws from house, techno, and electro while keeping groove at its center. Through You&Me Records, the Hide&Seek Festival, and his SYNTHO music-production platform, Baker has built an influence extending beyond his own releases, connecting parties, artist development, and practical education. His live career has included appearances at The Warehouse Project, fabric, DC-10, Parklife, and Pikes, placing him within some of the scene’s most established spaces. Releases including Something to Me and Bass Up to the Top helped broaden his audience in 2024, followed by Back It Up with Omar+, You Don’t Own Me with Prospa and RAHH, and the Come Closer EP in 2025. His catalog also includes My Place with Poppy Baskcomb and Feel This Way with Silva Bumpa and Paige Cavell, bringing vocal collaborations into his rhythm-focused sound. With an approach shaped by both the DJ booth and the wider culture around it, Josh Baker continues to connect underground foundations with an expanding international audience.
