Description
***Grammy-nominated band BRAZILIAN GIRLS returns to the Sultan Room after last year's sold-out show! This time, they're performing two distinct shows in one night, with very special guests: World-renowned DJ LOGIC, acclaimed vocalist Liset Alea, and Latin Grammy-winning artist/composer Domenica Fosatti. You never know who else might show up...***
***Internationally celebrated for their global rhythms-meets-electronica hits like “Good Time” and “Don’t Stop,” the band is currently comprised of founding members Jesse Murphy (bass, vocals), Didi Gutman (keyboards, vocals), and Aaron Johnston (drums, percussion, vocals). Expect new unreleased songs in addition to classic hits with the help of special guest vocalists.***
***Their new music expands their repertoire of timeless, irresistible dance hits with a fusion of multicultural soundscapes spanning an eclectic range of genres: you’ll hear elements of cumbia, dub, jazz improvisation, punk, drum-and-bass, lounge, tango, and more.***
***After decades of making music together, the band members craft a sound that’s recognizably Brazilian Girls, yet free flowing enough to constantly push boundaries, evolving the definition of what that sound should be. It’s free-spirited, yet locked in.***
***Discounts available for two-show tickets!!***
***DJ Logic: As one of the world’s most accomplished turntablists, DJ Logic is widely credited for introducing jazz into the hip-hop realms and is considered by most as a highly-respected session musician and an innovative bandleader. Since the early '90s amidst the Bronx hip-hop scene, the NYC-based deejay has amassed collaborations including a full-fledged band with members of Blues Traveler, a trio with Steve Molitz & Freekbass (Headtronics), and as a member of Grammy-winning Arturo O’Farrill & The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra’s The Offense of the Drum album. Collabs include Bob Weir, John Mayer, Medeski Martin and Wood, Christian McBride, O.A.R., Carly Simon, Marcus Miller, Jack Johnson, Vernon Reid, Warren Haynes, Jack DeJohnette, Ben Harper, Mos Def, The Roots, Bill Laswell, and many more.***
***Liset Alea: Liset Alea is a Cuban-born vocalist & songwriter refined across two decades in Europe, and now fully unleashed in Miami. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, she first caught international attention as the lead singer of Nouvelle Vague where her sensual delivery and magnetism helped define a generation of chic, left-of-center pop.Since then, she’s carved out her own lane, collaborating with electronic music producers like Rodriguez Jr., Patrick Topping, Alexkid, and Audiojack, crafting electronic songs that feel alive, physical, and emotionally intelligent.***
***Domenica Fosetti: Domenica is Latin Grammy-winning flutist, singer, and composer based in Brooklyn. She fronts the Brooklyn-based group Underground System, a staple in the city’s nightlife scene, and has led high-energy performances opening for Femi Kuti, Tony Allen, and Antibalas. A frequent collaborator, Domenica has also worked with artists like Brian Jackson, Musclecars, Marc Ribot, Miguel Zenón, and Dan Auerbach, and is featured on Flor de Toloache’s Latin Grammy-winning Las Caras Lindas. Whether on stage or on wax, her sound keeps bodies moving and boundaries loose.***
