About Marc Broussard

Marc Broussard is an artist with a unique gift of channeling the spirits of classic R&B, rock and soul into contemporary terms. His father, Louisiana hall of fame guitarist of “The Boogie Kings” nurtured Marc’s music
Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician Marc Broussard is a unique performer who embodies the essence of American soul and has forged his own distinct musical style. The son of Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist Ted Broussard of "The Boogie Kings," he nurtured his musical gifts at an early age in the vibrant Lafayette, Louisiana, music scene. After releasing a highly successful independent EP at age 20, Broussard made his major-label debut with Carencro. The album featured the breakout hit "Home" and propelled him into the international spotlight. That album and the others that followed revealed Broussard as a Southern soul singer with a rarefied talent and an innate stylistic and emotional authenticity that has made him one of the most indelible artists of his generation. The Louisiana-born and raised artist has created a wide range of music in his career. Carencro laid the groundwork with unequaled style, illustrating his knack for modern soul music and setting the stage for his long and distinguished career. NPR cited, "His music radiates soulful Louisiana blues, but his songs blend those influences with raucous rock 'n' roll to create unique and infectious music." Washington Times noted, "Few modern voices are as powerful as Marc Broussard's soulful, Bayou-bred baritone."
Broussard released multiple albums with major labels over the last ten years before returning to his independent roots with several acclaimed original recordings and charitable cover albums via his S.O.S. Foundation (Save our Soul). His philanthropic releases include Save our Soul, Save our Soul 11: Soul on a Mission, A Lullaby Collection, SOS 111 with accompanying children’s book, I Love You for You and S.O.S.4: Blues for Your Soul, his collaboration with blues icon Joe Bonamassa which debuted at Number One on the Billboard Blues Albums Chart.
al gifts at an early age, and the vibrant Lafayette, Louisiana music scene gave Marc the opportunity to practice his craft consistently from childhood through early adulthood. After releasing a successful independent EP at age 20, Marc signed a record deal with Island Records. Marc’s song “Home” was successful at radio and catapulted him onto the national touring stage. Marc released multiple albums with major labels over the next 10 years but has recently returned to his independent roots having released multiple successful original and covers records. The covers records have largely benefited charities via his SOS Foundation (Save our Soul). ? Marc’s latest single “Mood” came out on out in Oct 22. It’s co-written and produced by Erik Krasno (Tedeschi Trucks, Lettuce, Soul Ive and more). Marc will be touring non-stop in 2023 in the U.S. and abroad.
About Sway Wild
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
Sway Wild was born on a small island in the Salish Sea.
Following a two-month sailing voyage through the remote anchorages of British Columbia, acclaimed indie-folk duo Dave McGraw & Mandy Fer, returned to their San Juan Island, Washington home still hungry to explore. The result was nothing short of an artistic epiphany; an evolution of sound that called out loudly for a new name. Sway Wild released its self-titled debut album worldwide in 2019.
Sway Wild’s infectious sound explores the corners of rock, pop, funk, and folk, but at its nucleus it is undeniably a music full of joy. It can squeeze the heart in your chest, it can draw tears from your eyes, and it can force you to get up and move your body; over and over, it somehow manages to do all three at once. Fer and McGraw’s gorgeous harmonies paired with moving lyrics serve to both process and share their jubilation, grief, and frustration with a complex and deeply imperfect society.
