**BJ Barham of American Aquarium: Live at Eddie's Attic!**
For nearly two decades, American Aquarium have pushed toward a rare form of rock-and-roll that’s revelatory in every sense — the kind that makes you scream along to every word before realizing, hours later, how deeply those words reflect your own life. Led by frontman BJ Barham, the North Carolina–bred band have built their reputation on a gritty, emotionally charged blend of country-rock and incisive storytelling, a balance they embody with renewed intensity on their album The Fear of Standing Still.
Recorded live at the legendary Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and produced by three-time Grammy winner Shooter Jennings, The Fear of Standing Still marks American Aquarium’s tenth studio album and a powerful return to their explosive, full-band sound. The record pairs hard-charging rhythms and anthemic riffs with Barham’s most fearless songwriting to date, reflecting on personal growth, Southern identity, generational trauma, and the importance of empathy and connection. Mixed by four-time Grammy winner Trina Shoemaker, the album captures the visceral energy of a band whose live show Barham describes as “a freight train that never lets up.”
Known for their unflinching honesty and deep bond with their audience, American Aquarium continue to prove why they remain one of the most vital and outspoken voices in modern American rock-and-roll — creating music that’s as cathartic as it is communal.
Presented by Eddie's Attic.
This is an all ages event.
