Gray Area presents a special double-header on February 7th featuring Layla Benitez and David Lindmer, two artists whose paths have been a part of modern melodic club music from different angles. The night unfolds with individual solo sets before culminating in a back-to-back that brings their shared sensibilities into focus. Layla Benitez, born and raised in New York and now based in Miami, has become a global fixture through performances at Coachella, Circoloco, Afterlife, EXIT, The Warehouse Project, Tomorrowland, and Mayan Warrior. Her sound blends synth-led selections with darker tonal elements, shaped by years of touring and her ongoing residency at Space Miami. Each set reflects an instinct for pacing and emotional flow developed on some of the world’s most influential dance floors. David Lindmer’s rise has been defined by carefully structured DJ sets and cinematic productions designed for late-night rooms. With releases on Afterlife, Upperground, Purified, Simulate, and his own Running Clouds label, he has established himself as a trusted presence within the melodic techno space. His recent collaboration with MRAK further expanded his reach, while performances across Europe, North and South America, and the Middle East have reinforced his reputation for extended programming. The back-to-back set brings these perspectives together, offering a long-form exchange built on melody, tension, and progression. Local support from Rshand and Warhov rounds out the lineup.
