About SIDEPIECE SIDEPIECE is the tech house duo formed by LA-based Dylan Ragland (Party Favor) and Miami-based Ricky Mears (Nitti Gritti), two producers who were already celebrated solo artists before they connected via direct message in 2019 to share track ideas that neither felt comfortable releasing under their established names. Dylan Ragland, aka Party Favor, hails from Park City, Utah, and built a devoted following as an open-format DJ and producer with collaborations including Sean Kingston, A$AP Ferg, and Gucci Mane, amassing over 400 million streams before SIDEPIECE began. Ricky Mears, aka Nitti Gritti, grew up in Haiti where his parents served as Christian missionaries, and made his mark as a bass-heavy producer with credits including co-producing Bad Bunny's 200 MPH on the landmark X 100PRE album alongside Diplo, which won a Latin Grammy Award. The two debuted SIDEPIECE at the Brooklyn Mirage alongside Diplo in September 2019, releasing their debut single Wanna See You on Insomniac Records' In/Rotation imprint the same day. Their follow-up single On My Mind featuring Diplo became an instant dancefloor classic, reaching number 17 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart, earning remixes from MK and Purple Disco Machine, and securing a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. They have since released official remixes for John Summit and Lil Wayne, collaborated with Lee Foss and Lil Jon, and embarked on three sold-out North American tours in 2023 alone, including headline sets at EDC Las Vegas and London's iconic Printworks.
