Get ready for a night of boundary-defying music as two Haitian-born cultural ambassadors — DJ and producer Francis Mercier and the incomparable Michaël Brun — unite at LIV Nightclub on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Together they bring a rich fusion of Afro house, melodic house, Afrobeats, konpa, and Caribbean rhythms to the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach — a celebration of Haitian creativity and global music culture unlike anything else Miami has seen.
From Deep Root Records to Astralwerks, from Coachella's Sahara Tent to Diplo's Higher Ground, these two world-class artists have spent their careers building bridges between continents through music. Miami fans can expect a night of uplifting, soulful, and deeply moving sounds that transcend genre and bring the entire dancefloor together.
About Francis Mercier
Born in New York City and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Francis Mercier is a DJ, producer, and label founder whose mission is to bring the world's cultures together through house music. After studying mathematics at Brown University — a discipline he credits with shaping his meticulous approach to production — he began DJing at college parties before immersing himself in New York's club scene. In 2014, he co-founded Deep Root Records, which has grown into one of North America's most respected independent dance music labels, boasting over 500 million streams and a roster of internationally touring artists. As a solo artist, Mercier has reached number two on Beatport's overall chart and best-selling chart, earned airplay on BBC Radio 1, Diplo's Revolution on SiriusXM, and Tomorrowland One Radio, and received support from Black Coffee, Keinemusik, Vintage Culture, and Gorgon City. His acclaimed track Sete — featuring Malian duo Amadou & Mariam — became a global Afro house anthem, while releases including Premier Gaou, Sauti, and Kamili have cemented his reputation as one of house music's most culturally conscious voices. He has performed at Coachella, Miami Music Week, Zamna Tulum alongside Diplo, and venues across Paris, London, Ibiza, Dubai, Marrakech, and New York — always guided by his ultimate mission: to be an ambassador of world music and a bridge between Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
About Michaël Brun
Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to a Haitian father and Guyanese mother, Michaël Brun is widely regarded as Haiti's greatest musical export. He began playing piano, violin, and guitar as a child before discovering electronic music production as a teenager, and after earning a scholarship to Culver Military Academy and studying pre-med at Davidson College, he became the first Haitian to perform at Ultra Music Festival in 2014 — the same year he headlined Coachella's legendary Sahara Tent alongside Skrillex and Duck Sauce. He founded his label Kid Coconut and launched his annual BAYO block party — rooted in Haitian Creole for "to give" — which has grown from the streets of Port-au-Prince to sold-out shows at Barclays Center and Prospect Park in New York. His 2018 single Positivo with J Balvin became the official theme for Telemundo's FIFA World Cup coverage, earning him a Latin Grammy Award. Signed to Astralwerks in 2023, he released Safe with John Legend and Rutshelle Guillaume (2024) and Touchdown featuring J Balvin, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, and Tasan (2025) — the official anthem for the 2025 NFL Wild Card Weekend on ESPN. As a producer he has collaborated with Davido, Victoria Monét, Wale, Diplo, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, and Alicia Keys.
