Brazil's biggest DJ export and one of the top-ranked artists in the world, ALOK takes over LIV Nightclub Miami on Friday, March 13, 2026. Ranked the #3 DJ in the world by DJ Mag in 2025, Alok brings his signature Brazilian Bass sound—a feel-good fusion of tech-house, festival EDM, and Latin-infused grooves—to the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach for an epic Friday night.
From his triple-platinum smash "Hear Me Now" to collaborations with John Legend, Dua Lipa, Ava Max, and A$AP Rocky, Alok delivers a global dancefloor experience unlike any other. This is a Friday night with one of electronic music's most electrifying performers.
About ALOK
Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo, known professionally as ALOK, is a Brazilian musician, DJ, and record producer born on August 26, 1991 in Goiânia, Brazil. His name means "light" in Sanskrit, inspired by his parents' travels to India where they met spiritual guru Osho. The son of DJs Ekanta and Swarup—pioneers of psytrance in Brazil and creators of the legendary Universo Paralello festival in Bahia—Alok was immersed in electronic music from birth.
At age 10, Alok began learning to play instruments alongside his fraternal twin brother Bhaskar. By 12, the brothers formed the psytrance duo Logica, performing at their parents' events and releasing tracks on labels like Digital OM and Phantasm Records. At 19, Alok launched his solo career, transitioning from psytrance to house music and pioneering a sound he calls "Brazilian Bass"—a bright, feel-good mixture of restrained tech-house and festival-friendly EDM infused with Brazilian rhythms.
Alok's breakthrough came in 2016 with "Hear Me Now," co-produced with Bruno Martini and featuring vocalist Zeeba. The track became the first song from Brazil to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify, charted in over a dozen countries, peaked at #20 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, and earned triple platinum certification in Brazil. That same year, his song "Me & You" was featured in the Netflix film XOXO. He was named "Best DJ in Brazil" by House Mag in 2014 and 2015, and became the only Brazilian to crack the top 25 of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs in 2016.
Since then, Alok has become one of the most prolific and collaborative artists in dance music. He won the Best Remix award at the 2020 International Dance Music Awards for his rework of Meduza's "Piece of Your Heart" (over 223 million streams) and delivered the official remix of Dua Lipa's "Physical." Major collaborations include "In My Mind" with John Legend (2021), "It Don't Matter" with Sofi Tukker and Inna, "Don't Say Goodbye" with Ilkay Sencan and Tove Lo, and "Don't Cry for Me" with Jason Derulo. His 2022 smash "Deep Down" with Ella Eyre, Kenny Dope, and Never Dull reached #1 on the Billboard Dance Chart for four consecutive weeks, and "All by Myself" with Ellie Goulding and Sigala brought the timeless Depeche Mode sample of "Enjoy the Silence" to a new generation.
His remix and collaboration résumé spans work with The Rolling Stones, Zara Larsson, Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, The Chainsmokers, Seu Jorge, and Anitta. In 2024-2025, Alok released over two dozen singles including "Car Keys (Ayla)" with Ava Max, "Jungle" with The Chainsmokers and Mae Stephens, "Highjack (Right Back)" with A$AP Rocky, "To The Moon" with ILLENIUM, and "Looking for Love" with Anitta. He achieved his highest-ever DJ Mag ranking in 2025 at #3 in the world.
In 2019, Alok launched Controversia Records in partnership with Spinnin' Records to champion Brazilian bass music globally. He also founded UP Club Records in 2016 to discover new electronic talent. Beyond music, Alok became a character in the wildly popular game Garena Free Fire and founded Instituto Alok, a philanthropic organization that has donated over $10 million to social and environmental projects in Brazil and Africa. He performs approximately 320 shows annually across five continents, was named by Forbes Brasil as one of the most influential people under 30, and was recognized by Bloomberg Línea as one of the 500 most influential people in Latin America.
