Description
**The Cross Sea**
Emerging from a cross-border collaboration between Anna Mērnieks-Duffield (Beams, Ace of Wands), Kevin McMahon (producer of Swans, Titus Andronicus, Pile), and musician and filmmaker Daniel Liss, The Cross Sea captures a rare moment in which three creators chose instinct over expectation and, in the process, uncovered something transformative and enigmatic. Alchemizing less through formal studio sessions than through days marked by lake swims, BBQs, and even an accidental studio lockout, The Cross Sea’s self-titled debut album (out February 13, 2026 via Be My Sibling) became a vivid exploration of instinct, chemistry, and risk. Across its eight tracks, the album embraces stark contrasts, with acoustic guitar beside fuzzed-out bass, banjo against harsh vocals, and simple melodies framed by chaotic electronics. The band is excited to present this album live, joined on stage by Lee Rose, Isla Craig, Heather Mazhar, Chris Robertson, and Mike Mērnieks-Duffield.
**Catholic Wilt**
The dark and ethereal side project of Jesse James Laderoute (Blonde Elvis).
**Isla Craig**
Isla Craig is vocalist and songwriter living and working in Toronto, ON. In addition to her work as a solo artist, she is an active collaborator in Toronto, performing with Jennifer Castle, IC/JC/VC, and the Cosmic Range.
**Praises**
Toronto's Praises - the dark electronic project of Beliefs' Jesse Crowe - arrived at a time when Crowe was struggling to find an outlet for their most personal demons. The project was created as a quiet conversation on the love, loss, and lessons that can’t quite fit within the public forum of a collaborative band. With songs coded in life’s stories, they invite friends and lovers to find lines encrypted in the lyrics that point directly at them. Deeply personal, yet highly fictionalized. With influences ranging from Nick Cave to Portishead, Praises pulls from both a masculine and feminine struggle to bring the torment back into the piano where it belongs.
