Short Waves + Failed State present:
Flat Moon: Crash-landing somewhere between funk and punk, Flat Moon are a bizarre 6-piece collective that create and perform high-energy groove-centred music. Flat Moon are known for their electrifying live shows that induce their audiences into a state of genre-fluid delirium. Their music explores themes of escapism through a neurodivergent lens, while prioritising a fun and chaotic experience. Flat Moon pair a powerful saxophone-guitar combo with an intricate rhythm section, contorting in style. Delivering huge riffs, unforgettable hooks and incredible stage presence Flat Moon invite everyone to the party.
A.R.T
Strutting the tightrope between indie rock and psychedelic funk with a sax in one hand and a megaphone in the other, A.R.T are the five-piece electrifying London’s underground. Known for turning gigs into full-blown parties, their shows are sweaty, explosive and joyously unhinged — equal parts rock concert and groove-fuelled circus. Formed in 2018 by frontman Alfie Clayton (ex-Skinner Brothers & ex Laurie wright drummer who’s toured with Kasabian, The Streets, Noel Gallagher, The Stranglers and Johnny Marr), A.R.T channel the strut of The Hives, the soul of James Brown and the indie charm of Catfish and the Bottlemen — all tied together with a shot of British cheek and chaotic energy.
Rooted in London’s DIY scene, A.R.T thrive on community: every gig shapes the next song, and every track evolves in real time. With a sax-driven sound, wild charisma and an unrelenting groove, they don’t just play gigs — they throw parties.
With sold-out shows at MOTH Club and Scala under their belt, and KISS FM calling them “Bowie meets The Killers,” A.R.T are leading the new wave of London’s underground — bold, colourful, and impossible to stand still to.
Squid Shed: Off the back of two recent single releases (Can't Complain and Assets) which showcase their range of style, Squid Shed kick off 2026 back where it all began at The Victoria. Staffed by Owen Turner, Parsa Valiany, Bruce Henman-Lok, Joel Gilvin and Tristan Rodway, Squid Shed combine elements of punk, hard rock, folk and indie.
Presented by Short Waves + Failed State.
