Description
Webb Wilder Band – (Roots Rock Royalty, Nashville, TN)
Inducted into the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame
Webb Wilder was ‘Americana’ before it had a name, and is bonafide Roots Rock Royalty.
Wilder's long and storied career began with his debut classic It Came From Nashville album. It’s chosen one of the Top 50 Southern Rock Albums of All Time by Paste Magazine. His nearly four decades in the public eye have included stints with major labels, MTV airplay, induction in the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame, a cult classic movie career, and being one of the first national DJs, hired by a then-upstart XM Satellite Radio. He now is a DJ on Nashville radio station WMOT, and host of The List, a weekly Americana top countdown show, in addition to continuing his never ending tour as an Electrifying Artist.
"With his obvious love of British rock and Southern roadhouse, Wilder could be a kind of Tom Petty for the trailer set." - San Francisco Chronicle
“These days the term ‘roots rocker’ is almost meaningless, but Wilder’s blend of a rocker’s heart with a hillbilly’s soul is probably the best aural definition of it yet.” Time Out Chicago
“Discover the mystery, the madness, and the magic of the man called Wilder. A giant standing proudly above lesser talents.” That Devil Music

BILL KIRCHEN, AUSTIN, TX - Titan of the Telecaster
Bill Kirchen is a founding father of Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen, proto-Americana band ’67 - ‘76. His diesel-fueled lick drove “Hot Rod Lincoln” into the Top 10. He was Grammy nominated in 2001 for Country Instrumental Of The Year with his chicken-pickin’ composition “Poultry In Motion,” beat out by the great Earl Scruggs. Kirchen dubbed his sound “dieselbilly,” wrapping his fondness for country’s truck-driving song subgenre (as in big rigs, not pickups).
Kirchen has recorded with Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris, Nick Lowe, Dan Hicks, Maria Muldaur, Hoyt Axton, Hazel Dickens, Gene Vincent and Link Wray. He’s released well overtwo dozen albums, from the Commander Cody catalogue on through his current 12 solo releases on the Proper and Last Music Company label. He keeps up a robust touring schedule.
