Emerging in the mid-1990s with albums like Wreck Your Life and their major-label breakthrough Too Far to Care, they quickly became leaders of the alt-country movement. Despite never fully crossing into the mainstream, the band built a devoted fan base through relentless touring and a catalog of spirited, sharp-edged records.
