The 12 tracks on ABOMINATION REVEALED AT LAST. are a pummeling, maniacal, and propulsive attack on the senses–a fitting reaction to a world suffering from genocide, environmental collapse, state sanctioned violence, progressing technocracy, and more. “Well this album just channelled out of the mist of atrocities swirling around the planet right now,” songwriter John Dwyer explains. “AI empathy, genocides, social media data collection & addiction, the alignment of tech billionaires with the fascist overlords and their armada of dogs, civilians being kidnapped by bootlicking thugs, the death of due process…the list goes on and on. It’s been a long year already.”
ABOMINATION REVEALED AT LAST and its singles have received acclaim from Stereogum, Aquarium Drunkard (review), FLOOD Magazine (review, premiere), Brooklyn Vegan, The Line of Best Fit, Northern Transmissions, RIFF Magazine, and many more. The LP was recorded by Enrique Tena Padilla, Mario Ramirez & Dwyer, mixed by Padilla and Dwyer, and mastered by JJ Golden.
OSEES are John Dwyer (vocals/guitar/synths), Tom Dolas (guitar/samples/keys), Tim Hellman (bass), and Dan Rincon (drums).
Traps, PS is a bass, drum and guitar trio from Los Angeles CA. It is a group brought together by shared principles that value an economy of sound and a dedication to rhythm. “Keep it simple and get to the point”, is the axiom. “Pop aesthetics tend to overvalue the hooks and flair in songs, often at the expense of context and narrative.” Andrew (singer/guitarist) explains “that’s not the kind of story telling tradition I’m particularly interested in.” Traps ps is an attempt to deconstruct the narrative, leaving in only what is necessary.
