Description
Amanda Mussi returns to BASEMENT to kick off the first Wrecked of 2026. She has been a steadfast purveyor of thundering, granite-thick techno for well over a decade. Across a string of releases, Mussi has ceaselessly developed a bold, distinct voice that fuses the soaring highs of rave with a depth and weight worthy of the darkest, most cavernous warehouses. A scene leader in her hometown of Sao Paulo, Mussi has helped forge a path for the queer techno underground in Brazil. Devoye joins her. One of the key figures in the modern NY underground, Devoye has split his time between tight, grooving techno and lush, soulful house. For this night, he brings forth the former in its full glory. Ron Like Hell returns to the room to set it off as only they can. Ron’s singular capacity to find the delectable and strange has made them a guiding light.
Coffintexts steps up in STUDIO for the first time. The Miami producer has been at the forefront of her hometown’s thriving club music community. Working with labels as esteemed as Omnidisc, Club Romantico and Club Qu, Coffintexts fuses roiling electro with techno and house. Relentlessly prolific, Coffintexts has been responsible for a significant outpouring of unalloyed bangers over the past few years. It’s a growing body of work that sees the artist in ceaseless evolution, moving from strength to strength. Sister Zo is a kindred spirit. A true storyteller DJ, Sister Zo brings a sub-heavy perspective to all forms of rolling, swinging dance music. Her releases on Martyn’s 3024 are instant-classic entries into the sprawling world of so-called bass music. Fellow Miami native Sister System joins Wrecked’s Ryan Smith for a special b2b. Sister System has moved through similar circles to Coffintexts, touching on similar strains of humid, heady dance. But she lets a certain punky strain seep in the mix too, in addition to a well-earned dose of disco. Going head to head with Smith will be a treat.
