About Owen Stewart
Website | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
“If you ever wanted to be there when rock icons like Fogerty, Plant, Allman, Seger, Waters, or Cocker first displayed what real rock vocals should sound like, allow me to introduce singer/drummer/multi-instrumentalist Owen Stewart. I’m really trying to avoid exaggeration here, but there’s no other way to say it… Owen’s the real deal. Nobody else is singing like this.
Owen draws from the long history of ‘60s and ‘70s funk, soul, and rock with a tinge of psychedelia to build an explosive debut solo album with Done and Dusted. It’s finally here and you’re not ready yet. Groovy, gravelly, soulful, and enormous. He draws you in right away with horns and swirling keys, blows you away with sturdy production (jam it loud), and knocks you over with timeless, fiery singing that renews your faith in recorded music. Only thirty-seconds-in and you’re already deeply thankful for this Philly gem of a songsmith. Just wait for the other tunes. Spoiler alert: they rule.
About JR Everhart
Instagram | Spotify
Known for his evocative songwriting with Cosmic Guilt, as well as contributions to Owen Stewart, Low Cut Connie, and Scantron, JR Everhart Jr steps into a new chapter with his first release under his own name. His debut single, “Hard Enough,” is the opening note of an upcoming project that blends Everhart's love of traditional folk rock, the dreadful twang of alt-country, the kaleidoscope haze of psych folk, and the restless energy of rock & roll.
At its core, “Hard Enough” is a songwriter’s song—intimate yet far-reaching—brought to life with a band of kindred spirits: Justin Mazer (Daniel Rodriguez, Alex Benjamin, Grahame Lesh & Friends) on guitar, Logan Roth (Ms. Lauryn Hill, Slaughter Beach, Dog, Trap Rabbit, Trace Mountains) on keys, Tyler Yoder (EXPO, Cosmic Guilt) on bass, Pat Kane (The Bullets, Cosmic Guilt) on pedal steel, Josh Friedman (Cosmic Guilt, Ron Gallo, Owen Stewart) on drums, and Kiley Ryan (Hezekiah Jones, Chris Kasper) on fiddle and vocals.
About Squawk Brothers
Website | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
Squawk Brothers was formed by the members of Philly indie rock bands The Teeth/Purples in order to explore a country-influenced aesthetic. As the scope of the band evolved, the members finally grew tired of the “four dudes” template and have blossomed into a six-piece harmonic family with the addition of Eliza Becker and Nakita Beauregard. The newer members have thus far raised no objection to keeping the name as it is.
