Step into a world where education meets libation! At Tipsy Teachings, we've taken the stuffiness out of learning and replaced it with comfortable bar stools and cold drinks. Our expert speakers serve up bite-sized knowledge bombs while you enjoy your favorite beverage. It's like a college lecture escaped the classroom and found its true calling at your local bar. Come for the fascinating insights, stay for the perfectly paired potables and engaging discussions. Inspired by the Lectures on Tap series in NYC.
Our speaker for December will be poet, curator and educator Ciona Rouse. She is the author of Vantablack (Third Man Books, 2017). Her poetry is featured in the exhibitions Kara Walker: Cut to the Quick (2021) and HAGOOD: A Collage of Matrilineal History (2025) and various publications like poets.org, The Slowdown, Oxford American and wildness. Rouse co-hosts a banned book group at Third Man’s The Blue Room. She lives in Nashville, TN, where she’s opening a bookstore/bar.
Presented by Third Man Events.
