Description
Mannequin Flowers:
In the red room, the floors bend backwards.
Rooted in the fog of shoegaze, dreampop and postpunk, Mannequin Flowers are Isadora (vocals/guitar), Luca (guitar), Luci (bass) and Huw (drums). Isadora and Luca formed the band over a shared love of 90s shoegaze and 70s post-punk, with Luci and Huw joining soon after.
Their 2024 singles Heartbeat and Drunken Carousel earned praise from Earmilk, The Big Takeover, Amazing Radio, and Broken 8 Records, with airplay on Amazing Radio UK and other independent stations across the UK and US. In 2025, they released Validation and Six Words, expanding their sound with darker post-punk textures while continuing to gain support from independent radio and blogs, like Get in Her Ears. Earmilk described their music as “an emotional journey… as if the music is trying to understand what it means to be human.”
Their music evokes a sense of danger and unpredictability, moving between shimmering calm and distorted release. Lyrically, they challenge conventional narratives through thought-provoking content on love, anxiety, and modernity.
Cheerless
A shoegaze band from Hackney that started around 2021, leaning towards the heavier more energetic side of the genre.
Taking influence from US alt rock of the late 80s and British bands of the 90s, the thick, layered sound aims to convey a sense of catharsis in the textures.
WOL
After an extended break, WOL is returning with new music, blending his songwriting roots with lashings of noise rock, soaring instrumental sections and psychedelic forays.
Ticket + £5 Pint: Select house Lager (Milk Lager), Pale Ale (Gold Top Pale Ale), Stout (Black Milk) or Cider (Aspall).
