Maya Jane Coles is a British-Japanese DJ, producer and audio engineer known for her moody, deep-house and techno-inflected tracks, as well as bass-heavy dubstep under her alias Nocturnal Sunshine. Since launching her music career as a teenager — she taught herself production at age 15 — she has released acclaimed albums and EPs, played major festivals worldwide, and become a respected figure in electronic music for her genre-crossing creativity and DIY approach to production.
