Sophie Alieninova and Davey Shook pursue dance floor catharsis as self-released duo blending 80s synth with the grind of electronic body music. Breaking goth darkwave tropes with high energy, engaging, and surprising performances that break the 3rd wall. Brood Faye: Drawing on inspiration from both early punk & 2000s alternative, as well as new wave, synth pop, electronic body music, and industrial of the 80s and 90s, Brood Faye ties together very cohesively an oeuvre which had been lying dormant with Webber for decades. Having spent his adult life training as an actor in the avant-garde, experimental theatre, Shakespeare, then working in film, television, and particularly finding success narrating audiobooks, a highly stylized form of dark electro manifested, fusing the overzealous masculinity found in nü-metal and EBM and the romantic, feminine intellect of synth pop, new wave, and the cold wave revival of the late 2010s.
