As the sun enters the House of the Goat, Secret Psychedelica is ready to scale the peak of the new year with its 5th annual Capricorn psytrance party. We're honoring the sign of ambition and endurance by calling in the ultimate executive producers of sound: Los Angeles legends Deeper in Zen and San Francisco veteran Dyl👽Alien. These powerhouse beatmakers will be joined by a carefully curated tribe of Capricorn DJs to provide the structure, stability, and high-frequency drive needed to kick off the next chapter of the zodiac series. Prepare for a night of unwavering momentum. Deeper in Zen got their start in the early 2000s with releases on Soular Records, a label they founded with East Coast psytrance producers Mind Warped and Onnomon. Tao, their ground breaking double album was released in 2005 and featuring a hard-hitting psytrance CD and an ambient chillout CD reflecting the dualistic nature of the universe. Displaying a strong work ethic and a drive for professional recognition, Deeper in Zen went on to build a reputation for unyielding full-on psytrance by playing numerous international festivals in countries such as Morocco, Japan, and Russia. In 2012, Deeper in Zen completed two impactful collaborations with United Beats Records artist Mad Maxx, Kecak Ganda and Rainbow Body State, which dominated dance floors worldwide. Deeper in Zen would later go on a strategic hiatus and eventually return in 2020 with dance floor smashers on Sonic Motion Records. The duo is now back on the rise with chart topping singles and energizing performances including their return to San Francisco for the first time in over 20 years! Dyl👽Alien is known for his structured, goal-oriented approach to music. For many years, he was the dedicated leader of Party Babas, the organization behind Goa Gil's ritual gatherings in California, a role he approached with typical Capricorn discipline and focus. During this time, he also enjoyed playing in the Fractal Cowboys. Now, he maintains his practical, grounded nature, spending time eating veggies, petting pugs, and methodically planning fun and surrealistic moments on the dance floor while learning the ways of the shinobi. In 2025, demonstrating his forethought and commitment, he released his debut solo album, Sunday Double Rainbow, on Diffuse Reality Records. His music brings his unique, carefully crafted vision to events of all sizes. Leaving the notion of genre behind, he has had a lot of fun blending styles in a controlled and deliberate manner! The primary stage at Capricorn 2025 will also feature unwavering psytrance support from Random of the reputable Phonix Records, Sayaquita of Cosmic Frequencies, and the duo of Sausee and Michael Liu, known collectively as Galactic Illumination. The second room, hosted by Metamorphosis and Crooked Legacy, will focus on the structured sounds of drum & bass with Dab Terps from Galaxy Unknown Records, Hatter of the Outlet crew, Malaphor & Sophizta representing the steadfast Tech Support Recordings, Randub, the alter ego of Random, and Thelion, a representative of the Dream Machine record label.
