Plainsight Live presents SHINGO NAKAMURA( MONSTERCAT SILK, JAPAN ) Shingo Nakamura is a Tokyo-based producer and DJ. Hailing from Ibaraki (Japan), Shingo is especially known for a progressive house style that blends deep and lyrical sounds with classical piano. Growing his footprint beyond a dedicated fan base in Asia, he has performed sold-out shows at regarded venues in the US, including San Francisco's beloved Audio SF and New York's National Underground. Shingo first appeared on Silk Music way back in 2009. His 1st album dropped on 2011 was called Sapporo. One of his songs Move On was on this album which spark many creative remixes. Once Monstercat acquired Silk he was the 1st artists to drop the 1st single there called Glow which also is the album name he drop later that year. With it also having two major remixes (one with only glow remixes and the other being other sings from the Glow LP). In 2024 his latest EP was called Solace dropped in 2024. OTR (THIS NEVER HAPPENED, ASTRALWERKS, US) His debut album, Lost at Midnight spotlights the singular sonic identity OTR first discovered during a life-changing stint in Japan. At the age of 22, while studying aerospace engineering in grad school, the Ohio native otherwise Ryan Chadwick landed a last-minute internship in the remote Japanese town of Kurashiki. Living alone and faced with a major language barrier, the novice musician bought a MIDI keyboard and started creating his own compositions, tapping into the elementary skills he’d gained by playing on a dusty old piano back in his college dorm. As he taught himself production, Chadwick began bringing his keyboard along while riding the bullet train all over Japan, taking in his beautifully strange surroundings and infusing those feelings of isolation and wonder into his music.
