The festival first set sail in 2022 at Frost Amphitheater at Stanford University, gathering fans to celebrate the vibrant sounds of the islands. Guided by the spirit of holo holo—“to travel, to sail, to move”—the event expanded in 2023 to Las Vegas and Sacramento, and continued its journey in 2024 with a highly anticipated stop in San Diego. In 2025, the movement grows even bigger with festivals in Oceanside, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Tacoma, and San Diego—bringing island music and aloha to more communities than ever. For Good Vibez Presents co-owner Dan Sheehan, Holo Holo is deeply personal: “Growing up in Ewa Beach, O‘ahu, island music and reggae were the soundtracks of my childhood. These styles—the heartbeat of the islands—are the backbone of my work as a festival producer.
