About Fat Mezz
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube
Fat Mezz is a rock band out of South Jersey who, after getting their start in 2020, began playing shows in the Philadelphia area and down the Jersey shore, primarily in Wildwood, NJ. After several years of consistently playing cover shows full time, in mid 2023, they released their first original tracks, a two song EP titled “Fat Mezz Loves Cooter”. Cooter, who’s illustration is featured on the cover, being the bands beloved basset hound.
The band consists of Billy Thoden and Kurt Foster both playing lead and rhythm Guitar, Dom Levy on Bass, & Corey Chodes on Drums. All four are talented vocalists, constantly trading off lead, background, and harmonic vocals. The four grew up across south Jersey, all of them playing shows and picking up early on-stage experience as teenagers. Meeting each other and playing on and off through the years they eventually joined forces. After playing under several different names they settled on Fat Mezz. The Bands name is a tribute to Milton “Mezz” Mezzrow, a Jazz Clarinetist and saxophonist, as well as an outspoken civil rights advocate, and infamously, one of the most well know marijuana dealers in the NYC jazz community.
About Apple Juice Jones
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
The Philadelphia based band explores songs anchored in spirited storytelling and composition, always leaving room for sonic exploration inspired by the present moment. Etched in time but tethered to eternity, Angel Number 77 (2022), is Apple Juice Jones' second album and first release since the passing of founding frontman and lead guitarist, Teddy Kradzinski. Following Rainbow Blues, AJJ's 2020 debut, Angel Number 77 showcases an evolution in Kradzinski's compositional approach and lyrical flair, unfolding with urgency to reveal new faces and moods at every turn. All but one of the seven tracks on Angel Number 77 were penned by Kradzinski in the most restlessly prolific era of his life, which ended with much left unsung in September 2021. The record is loose at the edges, placing you in the room during raw takes of songs recorded during practice at the band's home studio in 2020 and 2021
