About Luciano
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
Luciano has reigned as the king of “conscious” reggae music for over 2 decades. A superstar by all accounts, he combines his love of Jah and beauty into a soulful, spiritual blend of rock and R&B tinged reggae. Born in Davyton in the parish of Manchester, Luciano was influenced as a youth by reggae icons such as Bob Marley and Dennis Brown and was heavily drawn to the positive message of the “one love movement”.
In 1993, Luciano collaborated with reggae ambassador Freddie McGregor resulting in the UK #1 “Shake it Up Tonight” and his name spread like wildfire amongst reggae’s top producers, one of which was Phillip “Fattis” Burrell”, who released the critically acclaimed single “Moving Up” later in 1993 on the Xterminator label via VP Records.
