The Flu is from Portland, Oregon and started as a home recording project and then morphed into a full band. They have been around for about 10 years and released albums on Meds, Holy Mountain, In the Red Records, and Mind Meld Records. They make sounds characterized as pop music dreaming about and then eating itself. The Flu blends elements of psychedelic rock, pop, noise and experimental music with a sense of chamomile and a slight touch of reverse shrike. They record primarily as a home recording project; using analog tape machines, embracing experimentation and a love for songwriting. The Flu has been known to give the song “a chance.”
