MkX crafts hyper-charged anthems built for both the dance floor and the digital age. The band formed when vocalist Mary Bugbee and guitarist Celinda Chang met by fate at a show, quickly becoming friends and bonding over a shared love and passion for music. When the opportunity to perform at a local show presented itself, they recruited drummer Jasmine Day on drums and wrote some songs, and thus unpolished* made their debut in April 2024, later adding “Santos” Stephanie DeSantos on bass. Sitting somewhere in between alternative rock, punk rock, pop punk, heavy/hard rock, and grunge, unpolished* is drawing attention and turning heads in the rock scene with energetic live performances and passionate songwriting.
