Following a sold-out activation at our last Poetiq Honesty: Young, Gifted & Black - we’re back, bigger, bolder, black and more soulful. Messengers of the Night pays tribute to the revolutionaries, ancestors, and visionaries who paved the way for our collective voice and creative freedom. Join us for an evening where poetry meets jazz, sound meets spirit, and art becomes a vessel for remembrance. The night features live performances by Aliyah Knight, That Boy Kwame, Taj Abdullah, Intwari, Dai Moret,  and Angela Ozigbo, accompanied by a three-piece live jazz band weaving rhythm and reflection through every word. The experience continues with a visual art installation by local Black artists, an open mic segment, and a typewriter poetry activation where guests can take home words inspired by their energy. Presented by Nyaluak Leth (NMMWL) in partnership with Arts-Matter, Poetiq Honesty invites you to honour the ones who came before, and become a messenger of the night yourself. Over 18's only unless advertised otherwise. No Outside food or drinks are to be brought into the venue. All children under 18 not permitted including small children and babies. Photo ID is essential, acceptable ID is a current and valid Australian Drivers Licence or Passport. Intoxicated persons will not be admitted. No thongs, steel cap boots, or spiked attire. Dangerous  behaviour including Crowd Surfing, Stage Diving, Moshing and Violent Dancing is not allowed and will result in your immediate removal from  this venue. Inappropriate behaviour at this venue will lead to your banning. We know that times are tough, but please help us stay open by arriving when the doors open and eating & drinking at the venue.
